Clarida is designed to minimize data collection. We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Service.

• Usage analytics: anonymous page views, feature usage, and performance metrics (via privacy-friendly analytics). No personally identifiable information is collected.
• Contact information: only when you voluntarily provide it (e.g., via a contact form or email). We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
• Account data: if you create an account, we store the minimum required for authentication (email address, hashed password). We do not collect names, institutions, or other profile data unless you choose to provide them.

Your experimental data belongs to you. Clarida processes qPCR data to perform calculations and analyses. Here is how we handle it:

• Transient processing: data uploaded for analysis is processed on our servers and not stored beyond the duration of your session, unless you explicitly save it to your workspace.
• Workspace storage: if you save experiments to your workspace, that data is stored encrypted and accessible only to you (and any collaborators you invite).
• No selling or sharing: we never sell, license, or share your research data with third parties.
• Aggregated insights: we may retain anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., distribution of Cq values, common analysis types) to improve our algorithms. This data cannot be linked back to you or your experiments.

We use minimal cookies required for the Service to function:

• Essential cookies: session management and authentication. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
• Analytics: privacy-friendly, anonymized usage analytics. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking.

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Clarida:

• Cloud hosting (EU-based infrastructure for data processing and storage)
• Authentication provider (for secure sign-in)
• Analytics (privacy-friendly, no personal data shared)

We select providers that meet GDPR requirements and do not share your data beyond what is necessary to provide their service to us.

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

• Account data: retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
• Workspace data: retained while your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account or remove specific experiments.
• Analytics data: anonymized and aggregated. Cannot be attributed to individuals.
• Contact inquiries: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

Clarida is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
