Free tool · Plate editor
From sample list to full plate in seconds
Tick your samples and assays. Click one well. The whole plate is done.
- Free, no account, no install
- Missing NTCs caught before you pipette
- 96 and 384 wells, several plates
What you stop doing
- Filling wells one by one. The whole set lands at once, replicates included
- Guessing where things land. Hover over a well to see where everything goes
- Retyping names. Paste a list or a plate map, or load the run file you already have
- Splitting a big set over plates by hand. Too many wells for one plate? Add a plate and the set continues there, 96 or 384 wells
Click one well, place the whole set
Tick your samples and assays, click the first well, and the whole set lands in place, replicates included. Want more control? Place one well or one replicate group at a time.
- Change replicates or fill order, and the preview follows
- Drag names straight onto the plate
- Move, copy or clear anything, and undo any step
Catch mistakes before the run
A forgotten no-template control is cheap to fix on screen and expensive to find in your results. The plate is checked while you build it, so you fix it before you pipette.
- Assays without a negative control
- Samples missing an assay, and half-filled wells
- Uneven replicate groups, and names that look alike
Then take it wherever it goes next
Copy the plate map into your lab notebook or instrument software, or download it as CSV, no account needed. With a free account, also Excel and RDML, save your plates, or open the plate straight in Clarida as a qPCR experiment, with the layout already in place for the run and the analysis.
